If I had seen this as a young white teen I would have subscribed as fast as I could. I was but one of just a handful of white folks in my high school that stood fast with the newly bussed in black students.
The Black Panthers gave a lot of us the courage to stand up for what was right. For fairness. For Civil Rights and later Women’s Rights and Gay Rights.
They did a lot of good work that hasn’t always been noticed.
